Series 2000 Configuration Adaptor

This adaptor allows Eurotherm’s iTools configuration software to communicate with Series 2000 controllers via the configuration port on the side of the controller. 

An RS232 cable connects the adaptor to a computer running iTools. 

The connection to the controller is made via a cable with a 5-pin ‘clip’ on the end. 

This clip locates in the sleeve of the controller and connects to five solder pads on the microprocessor board. 

This method can be used to configure all Series 2000 controllers without the need to fit a communications module in the controller. 

The adaptor supplies +5V and +24V power to the controller electronics. 

Therefore, when using the adaptor, power must not be applied via the normal controller supply terminals. 

The power cord, RS232 cable and controller connection cable are supplied with the adaptor
